Effective 07 MAY 2025, JFTB will implement the Real ID Act of 2005. In order to enter the base a compliant REAL ID will be needed:

1) The following forms are REAL ID compliant:

• US Passport or Passport Card
• Federal Government PIV
• US Military ID cards (including retirees, dependents and veterans)
• Veterans health ID card issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs
• DHS “trusted traveler” card (global entry, Nexus, Sentri, FAST)
• TWIC credential
• Merchant Mariner ID issued by DHS

2) JFTB will be accepting the following secondary forms of ID accompanied by a driver's license (if driving) or Goverment ID (if walking):

• Select University, Library or School ID containing a photograph, name, and expiration date
• Non-Government Photo Identification containing name and address
• Birth certificate containing the full name and date of birth
• Utility bill containing the person’s full name and address
• Vehicle registration with name and address
• Other forms of identification will be examined on a case by case basis.
• Border crossing card (DSP-150)
• US certificate of naturalization or certificate of citizenship (Form N-550)
• US permanent resident card/ Alien registration card (I-551)
• Foreign passport with a temporary I-551
• Us refugee travel document issued by DHS containing a photograph
• Employment document with photograph issued by DHS (Form I-766)
• Nonimmigrant aliens authorized to work (specific employer): Foreign passport
• ID cards issued by federal, state, or local government agencies, provided it contains a photograph and biographic information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address
